Carbon Footprints to Carbon Handprints

The oil & gas industry fooled us into watching our carbon footprints for too long, trying to be a little “less bad” every day to eventually get to…..where exactly?

Carbon footprints are a problem. And they are measured in tons. “Carbon handprints” are a solution, and they are measured in million tons of CO2! They are the mark that a bold climate activist leaves on his world by blocking fossil fuel infrastructure, protecting forests, pushing progressive policies and other transformative structural work. Carbon handprints are essential to help ALL of society decarbonize, not just our own little backyard. We are in a climate emergency and it’s time to start generating big carbon handprints.

Stop worrying about those who tell you that you’re bad. You’re not. Yes, you were born into the times of fossil fuel madness and addiction. But you’re not “born to pollute” and you can be part of the solution. Maybe you already are! Once you start thinking about the positive impact you could create, the options are many. With our hands (and brains) we can transform the structures of the dirty fossil fuel age into sustainable, renewable ones. Fighting against industrial agriculture, airports, creating Fossil Free Zones, defending forests, getting fossils out of politics, etc. etc.

Explore our climate game changers for some inspiration on where to create a huge carbon handprint. Fancy a carbon handprint of a gigaton CO2? Why not try and defuse a carbon bomb.
