Ultra sour gas

“Good day, Ladies and Gentlemen,

“Today I want to tell you about an especially nasty issue: Drilling for SOUR GAS.

“I am talking about this nasty stuff because it threatens the future of all Dugongs in the Maraway Reserve and beyond.

“The project to extract gas in our home, the Marawah biosphere reserve, isn´t just the normal dirty fossil, or methane, gas.

It is a more toxic and corrosive gas called: ULTRA SOUR GAS.

“This means it is tainted with lots of sulphur gas (H2S) and it is highly toxic for people and for marine life, like my fellow Dugongs and myself.

“Even the gas industry likes to avoid this stuff, because it is corrosive and more expensive to handle.

But now the new Ghasha gas field, which encroaches on my home in nearby Marawah, is set to extract exactly this nasty stuff.

If I seem a bit upset about this dangerous project in the middle of my home, it’s for good reason.

I can only advise my friends in the national oil company, and their leader, to stop and reconsider this entire project – and instead work intensely towards clean and efficient energy solutions.

“Thank you. That is all.
