The Fossil Free Product Standard is Here
Today, we’re announcing the Fossil Free Product Standard, a CEN Workshop Agreement (CWA 18203:2025) that sets clear, practical rules for certifying fully or partially fossil-free supply chains. Published in April 2025, it offers a fast and transparent path for companies to demonstrate real progress.
What’s new: products can be certified as fully or partially fossil-free, with the exact percentage of fossil-free ingredients shown on the product and detailed via a QR code. Offsets are not accepted. The scope covers the supply chain from raw material extraction through to final product delivery. Independent certification bodies can assess claims under recognised conformity standards.
